The Sid Vale Association (SVA) was founded in 1846 to:

• • • • Conserve and promote the Valley’s Heritage and Culture

      • Protect and enhance the Valley’s Landscape and Amenities

      • Record the History of the Valley➤

The SVA Charity works to enhance amenities in the Sid Valley. We:

• • • • Own and protect over 50 acres of Land in the Sid Valley➤ for the benefit of the public

      • Own and run the nationally accredited Sidmouth Museum➤, highly popular with tourists and townsfolk alike - one of the best things to do in Sidmouth.

      • Maintain Public Rights of Way➤ that cross our land

      • Run Events➤, guided walks and talks

      • Highlight local culture through initiatives such as Blue Plaques➤ and the Local History Group➤

      • Produce magazines and other Publications➤ of local interest

      • Administer legacies such as the SVA's Keith Owen Fund, awarding Community Grants➤ to benefit the local community

If you have enjoyed the amenities provided by the SVA, do please become a member➤ or make a donation➤. Although the SVA's work is entirely volunteer-based, we face the challenge of securing large amounts of money for upkeep of land and facilities. The Keith Owen fund and other trust funds we manage for the benefit of the community have covenants that restrict their use for the SVA's daily operations. Membership subscriptions help us to keep the SVA operating now and into the future.
